Step back in time for some roaring 1920s fun this Thursday at LPR. The night will feature a range of music from the eclectic decade, as well as a rare appearance by world-renowned concert pianist Byron Janis! Here’s a “Today Show” segment on Byron from 2003.
After a solo show at LPR last month, John Medeski returns this Thursday with The M&Ms, which also features Papa Mali of 7 Walkers and Rob Mercurio and Stanton Moore of Galactic.

Acclaimed composer, pianist and violinist Conrad Tao recently signed with EMI and will release his debut LP Voyages next month. No need to wait, though, because Tao plays LPR Tuesday!
Voyages (and tomorrow’s concert) will feature the music of Ravel, Rachmaninoff and Meredith Monk, along with Tao’s own compositions. Watch his video for Monk’s “Railroad” above!
