  3. CMJ Playlists

All week LPR staff and friends are going to be posting playlists of our favorite songs and albums from college and high school in honor CMJ. You’ll be able to get new mixtapes every day of CMJ right here on Tumblr, or over at our blog.

This series of playlists is partially inspired by the great episode of All Songs Considered called The Most Important Band of Your College Years, which aired on September 4th of this year. It’s a great episode. And maybe an apt spot for us to get some inspiration from, since we’ll be hosting a NPR Music event for CMJ on Wednesday with Flying Lotus, Deathgrips, and Buke & Gase. This is our version of that All Songs Considered episode, for CMJ.

Have any suggestions? Want to tell us your favorite bands, songs, and albums from school? Leave a comment or tweet it to us. We’ll share your suggestions on Twitter, and maybe even put together a playlist with your suggestions for the end of the week.

    Happy CMJ’ing.

    Playlists currently posted:

  4. Check out this super psych video of a super psych track from Ghost Wave, a New Zealand-based indie band that’s going to be playing here for the New Zealand at CMJ showcase on October 16.

  5. Remember when Zola Jesus played LPR at CMJ last year, and NPR Music streamed it? I don’t think we ever shared this on here, so we’re posting the whole thing right now. Pretty great set. Thanks for preserving it NPR.
